The bumpy looking fat that most women get on their bodies is called Cellulite. It is the growth of fat cells that stretch and wrinkle the skin and is noticeable as it is the fat closest to the skin.
The collagen fibers (also known as connective tissue) enclose the fat cells and cause problems visually. There are three layers of fat in our bodies, two are deeper and less obvious but the third can cause cellulite, as described previously, which pushes through to create cellulite. Cellulite and Liposuction is an option to remove this layer and make it visually better.
You must be aware that liposuction does not always improve cellulite, it can in fact sometimes make it worse. You must consider all factors before deciding what is right for you as other procedures are available which are intended for dealing with robust cellulite.
Cellulite and Liposuction : The Alternatives
A well known treatment which is less invasive for Cellulite is called Endermologie. Invented to treat injuries, the procedure involves a vacuum that goes onto the skin and presses the fat underneath whilst stretching the skin to visibly remove the Cellulite. The downside is that it is a temporary treatment and further sessions will be needed.
Like any cosmetic surgery, Cellulite and liposuction can be very costly and risks are always involved with intrusive surgery. You must consult your doctor before anything is carried out. The advantages and disadvantages should be known to you before you take it further.
